April Blevins Pejic is a freelance writer and researcher based in New Orleans, LA. Most recently, she has worked as a research producer on the A&E Networks true crime shows Interrogation Raw, Witness to Murder: Digital Evidence, and Cold Case Files.
Her essays and articles have appeared in The Rumpus, Massachusetts Review, Cimarron Review, Green Briar Review, Arcadia Magazine, and the New Orleans Times-Picayune, among others. She has twice been noted in the Best American Essays anthology (2020 and 2015). She’s taught English and writing at Xavier University of Louisiana and Nicholls State University.
She holds an MFA from the Creative Writing Workshops at the University of New Orleans, is an avid birder, and would probably love your dog.
